  • Coast to Coast

    On September 29th, 2009, three recent college grads—Ryan James, Jonathan Engelhardt and Caleb Price, will embark on a bicycle journey to make a change in the world. Their 3,100-mile trip begins in San Diego, CA and ends in St. Augustine, FL. This coast-to-coast bike trip is to create change, to share God’s unconditional love, to inspire a generation of global thinkers, and to help raise aid/awareness for a health care clinic being set up in the outskirts of Durban, South Africa.

  • Phoenix Fellowship

    line
    The Phoenix Fellowship Church is located four miles north of the city of Durban in what was historically the heart of the sugar cane fields of South Africa. Phoenix Township was established as an apartheid era township for Indian people (people from the country of India). It took its name from the nearby Phoenix Settlement (now Bambayi) established in 1904 by Mahatma Gandhi. Indian people were voluntarily and forcibly moved to the township from the other overcrowded Indian townships like Chatworth and from areas demarcated for habitation by White South Africans. Today, in post-apartheid South Africa the Township is a vibrant manifestation of Indian South African culture with a growing Zulu community.

The 3100 mile trip

The last week of September Ryan James, Caleb Price, and Jonathan Engelhardt will be taking a cross country bicycle ride from San Diego, CA to St. Augustine, FL,a 3100 mile journey. In addition to sharing their faith along the way, they plan to raise support for a medical/health clinic and mission trip.
